A patriot missle shot down a F-18 at the start of the second gulf war in a case of fratricide.

One was shot down in the Bosnia/Serbia conflict. I am unaware of any American war planes shot down over Somolia or Iraq. Helicopters may be a different story.

I believe it was a stealth fighter that was shot down over Serbia ! This was probably a huge technological loss for the US. The shoot down was pure luck on the part of the Serbs. It was a night mission, on a moonless night, as far as I know.

in real life the balkan conflict,in war games all the time. beware the Indian air force. meanwhile i'm being invaded by the USAF
