God is not a fashion critic, so ugly is not a fair comment
however He does care about what you wear

If God wants you to change how you dress He will tell you Himself -- He doesn't need your friend for that. Also this person isn't much of a friend, because a friend wouldn't call you ugly, and God definatly doesn't think your ugly -- in Genisis 1 the bible says He created us in His image. So what your "friend" is saying is that God is ugly to. By the way if we are created in Gods image and God is ugly(Hes not) then your friend must be ugly too!

God doesn't look at your outward apperence he looks at your heart. God made you to look the way you look so unless your friend ment you where ugly on the inside then no I do not agree.

I had a tough time deciphering what you meant, but I think you meant that you wore a dress that your friend thought was unappropriate and she told you God wants you to change the way you dress. Pray about it and if God's convicts you for dressing the way you dress, change it. If not then you're alright, but be sensitive to what God is saying to you about your clothing. I tend to have somewhat of a rocker style...and usually the way I get away with wearing something that might be scandalous otherwise...is by layering. I'll put a sexy top over a more modest tee...it works out nicely...I'm respecting my Christian brothers around me by not causing them to lust and I am still wearing what I want.

That's called legalism. And it is unbiblical. Jesus hung out with the "fringes of society" types. God sees your clothes, but he looks at your heart. The things you have to look out for is spending exorbitant amounts of money on your clothes and let's just say "not leaving anything to the imagination". Man always judges silly things like this, because he doesn't want to see his stuff. God looks at the heart! God looks at the heart! God looks at the heart! God looks at the heart!
