In the Bible times, Samaritans were a society of people, not a religious group. So, if you are from Samaria and you are good, that would make you a "good Samaritan" right?

Excuse that sarcasm as it probably didn't answer your question.

You can be a good person and not be Christian. Sometimes there are Christians who are not good people. But being a good person wont get you into heaven, accepting Christ will. And if you truly follow him, goodness comes naturally.

Yes. A "good Samaritan" is just an expression to describe someone doing a selfless act. The expression obviously comes from the Christian Bible.

But you can still perform selfless acts and be considered a good Samaritan, even if you're not a Christian.

The original "Good Samaritan" was not a Christian. Where's the confusion, and when did being good become the sole domain of any population? lol... Did you know that even a smile is charity?...it is if you're down... never had that experience?... and guess what - that comes from the Quran.
Take care and keep on keeping on...

A "good Samaritan" is just anyone who gives you help, but is the last person you would expect to offer help in the first place. It is independent of religion, race, or belief.

Certainly. In fact, the central message of the Parable of the Good Samaritan is that compassion should be for all people. As human beings, we should be willing to aid those in distress.
