They could, but would it really do any good? The message of the gospel is never popular, and frankly, I find the whole "God is my product, I shall not want" point of view to be offensive. Like those "Testamints" mints that have a verse inside. Or a Jesus plush toy. Or a shirt that says, "Don't believe in hell? It's still there and you're still going." Or cheesy knock-offs like "Abreadcrumbandfish" instead of Abercrombie and Fitch.
Instead of improving marketing skills to the masses, I think Christians should improve evangelizing skills for the masses.

Are you kidding?
"Accept Jesus and you will live forever in perfect bliss! You can look down on those who haven't because you know that they'll suffer forever for not thinking like you do! Run the country according to your opinions alone!"
It's the greatest sales pitch ever.
Edit:
Apparently being patronized appeals to enough. Way too many in my opinion.

The best way to market Jesus is by your actions. The building block of Christianity is love, and love is more of a verb than a noun. therefore, Christianity should be a verb, and not just a noun.

Perhaps there is a significant difference to be made first. Those 'Christians' who have Christ in their life vs. those 'Christians' who have Christ first in their life.

Christians don't have to market God. His Word speaks for itself. Look into the heavens. That's more marketing than any man could imagine!

Jesus is not a marketable commodity....He is GOD! The message is plain and simple and has already been presented to the masses. Now the choice is theirs...either they accept or reject Him.

Jesus is offering eternal life in Heaven for free. What better marketing promotion could possibly be better?

I always wondered that.
People are leaving the Christian faith in droves for lots of different reasons. None of them stop to think why. Most of them deny people are leaving the church at all.
Yet with this in mind, instead of stopping to think why people are leaving and adressing it, they preach they are the only light and the way and you are going to hell. You are wrong and sinful and awful. And then don't understand why you aren't interesting in thier faith.
