I think this is a legitimate question. If you want to flame, please go elsewhere.

Hannah B- Logic? We are talking about religious folks here. If you believe in religion, then why not fortune telling? This is a hypothetical question regardless.

Wow, maybe if the children here took a class in genetics and biology they'd know the answer to these questions.

Ignorance is bliss, I suppose!

Another great question nubilin.

By saying homosexuality is a decision rather than congenital, the onus is on the homosexual (as far as the fundamentalists are concerned). It's a very effective way of blaming the person while keeping the all-perfect deity squeaky-clean.

So many remain strangely immune to any evidence contrary to theirs, regardless of the overwhelming evidence. It exposes their ignorance and bias in such matters.

For those of you who believe homosexuality is a choice, ask a homosexual when they chose to start being homosexual. Then ask yourself why on earth they would want to be homosexual given the amount of grief they experience (from you).

The most recent scientific evidence suggests that although homosexuality is most certainly congenital (present at birth), it may not be *genetic*. It could have something to do with the level of hormones present in the womb during gestation.

Curious about Brian H, I assume with your rational that you are a christian, you say that being gay is a choice and not genetic, a fairly common christian belief. You say, if it were it would have been removed as it is not self perpetuating.

That is the fundamental truth of evolution is it not?

NATURAL selection, based on the survival of the species.

I happen to think that your argument has some merit, from a purely scientific point of view. If it is indeed purely genetic, perhaps far to short a time has passed for such a trait to be phased out.

You err because children are not born homosexual, it's an activity which they make a choice to engage in.

I suppose you believe the propaganda that being homosexual comes from genetic code passed down from the parents. If you were right and this was part of the genetic code, it would have been removed long ago, because homosexuals simply do not reproduce.

Some people are born with gay tendencies but you don't have to follow them

I've many sissy looking men marry women and have great

sex and love for one another

It's not what you got it;'s how you use it

We don't hate gays we encourage them to be who they are

Man or woman you are born one iof the two (BE THAT)

No a child is a child. All deserve the right to life and to choose how to live that life when they are grown. I have a dear friend from school days who is a lesbian. I do not love her any less because of this so how could I love my child any less either?

First of all, I wouldn't be able to tell the future, so...

Secondly, if I considered this to be a logical question, then I would have to answer with a no. Even if my child was gay, I would still give birth to him/her and love them with all of my heart.

You see, I believe none is born gay and I know it is true.
Experiment for you: If you know some twins, make a gay test. If one is gay, the other must be gay if at all you believe gay is in the genes. Hope you are a scientist.
