What happens when these illegals become citizens? Do they then not what to do the "difficult" work?
Let us face the fact that we need illegals to satisfy our need to pay unfair wages, no benefits, and we reap the rewards. The illegal, who is here just to make some money and go home, is great for us. He doesn't have to really learn our language or blend into our culture. He is here only temporarily.
It is when they want to stay (can't blame them) and when they put demands on our social services -then we all pay for the greed of those who have exploited these people.

These are people, just like us. Does anyone really believe that they would work at these difficult jobs, for low wages, no benefits and live in substandard housing if they had a choice? It is the fact that they are illegal that makes them valuable and it is are willingness to open the avenue for them to make the money to make it to their benefit.
No illegals - then who does the work?

Illegals don't make the US go round. Get over it! There are tons of LEGAL immigrants and Americans working those jobs. I work labor at low pay. But I don't care! I'm not a capitalist, materialistic or ever going to have a family (and a family is not going to accidentally happen, I take care of myself). That stuff is "the American Dream", I'm Native American and know I didn't reach my full work potential. I don't care either. I only need money for food, housing, transportation, and a little bit of entertainment once in awhile. This job gives me tons of time for my hobbies such as writing, painting, etc. My job keeps me in shape (cubicles making you a little heavy?). And it keeps me down to earth. Money isn't important to me in life. Just as it isn't for a lot of other Americans. What's my contribution as an American? Sh*t, what land is everyone arguing about, I don't think we had a choice to be an "American".

Who will work those jobs:
LEGAL immigrants
Teenagers
Non capitalists
And Americans who have low work potential (we do have those you know)

the little ones would probably be eager about their moms basically because a mom shouldn't go away a toddler in the back of, or positioned into adoption and foster homes. The regulation ought to get replaced: if you're an unlawful immigrant, your youngster should not be an American citizen if born in united statesa.. It creates a very unfair loophole.

That's one of my arguments...people that are pro illegal, meaning they want illegals to be able to come here legally, keep using the argument that they do the jobs Americans don't want to do, that they earn low wages and no health benefits, to keep our prices low and blah, blah, blah
Well once they become legal.. they will want the same jobs and wages as an American or legal Citizen... so how is that going to help us, how is that any different from an American or Legal immigrant having that job.... how does that argument stand up.. it doesn't.... it's just people blowing smoke.. arguing for something that they really have no argument for- you can't justify something that is illegal

Yeah, did these jobs just not exist 30 years ago? Only when we had a massive influx of illegals did they become available?
Pay a fair wage and make the conditions decent, and you don't need illegals. People will be willing to pay 10 cents more for their veggies if they know that.
We need to crack down on the people that hire illegals.

Our real problem is the 2-party system will destroy our national soverignty. The Dems. want 12 million voters who are poor and use to dependance on the govornment. The Repubs. want cheap labour. With no real voice in the govornment, its over for USA in 10-15 years.

Here is the problem with illegals.
People will do the work. However, when you have an illegal going to do the work at half the pay and no beniftis the market is going to drive the wages down. So you got those jobs.
If you have no illegals those wages go up and people will do them.
Those type of jobs aren't meant for generation after generations they are entry jobs to move up.
This cutting back on illegals is going to make the wages for the rest move up and makes it better for everyone.
Now we have a program where they pay into the system nore tax money coming in and more into social security is going to make it more stable.
What is a problem for us those illegals come here get on the welfare roles suck down our system and not pay in.

Won't do? Like Construction? Like government jobs? Trash truck drivers who make 20. an hour plus benefits?...all the hotels? all the restaurants? All the good paying jobs while white people are unemployed now? They would all have the fishing jobs too, if it weren't for Homeland Security measures...believe me, this is going to backfire...because they will be replaced by the much more knowledgeable and qualified white boys and girls that got replaced by them in the first place, to save a buck....just wait and see.

Being able to become legal will not make them not want to do the "hard labor jobs" anymore. It would simply allow them to go to work w/o the fear of deportation. They will also have better oportunities in the work place for advancement and less likely to be treated poorly by employers. I have personal experience with this with my husband and friends. Before my husband was legal his boss would treat him horribly and threaten him with deportation when he didn't do exactly what he said. If he wanted my husband to pick up a double shift and my husband said no he couldn't (when it was not on the schedule) than he would threaten to fire him and tell him where are you going to work than huh. It is very common for things like this to happen and it is something illegal immigrants must live with everyday to be able to support themselves and their family. My husband no longer works for that boss but he continues to work hard labor and work two jobs to support his mother and sister in Mexico and us here. People like my husband are the people this country should want here. Hard working, decent people with family values and a good heart. Americans lack the human quality many immigrants still hold dear today.

Making them legal only will allow them to go get a second job and other jobs that require papers. They will still do hard work because that is how they were raised. They never take the easy road. But they will be able to get an education and a better future.

Anyone who thinks that is wrong..... is wrong themselves.

They should be treated as war criminals because that is exactly what they are. They've taken over so many millions of the jobs, not just picking vegetables but the packing plants around here. The construction trades, etc. We just had a meat packing plant have over 100 Legal Americans walk out in protest because the Mexicans were treated way better.I'd send them back to Mexico, treat them as the war operatives they are by coming here illegally.Make it a felony to hire, rent to,or allow into a medical facility with no proof of u.s. citizenship. Not allow them into U.S. schools unless they are naturalized,or gone through due process to become a U.S. citizen!

coming from cali, i can tell you that they don't all leave. most of them stay. they don't get minimum wage, they earn what is call piece rate. that is a quota system that they either meet or they get a flat rate. there is potential for them to earn money there, and they do. the more fruit they bring in, the more the farmer earns, and thusly, the more they earn. farmers do pay their help well. the only reason people don't like it, is because they aren't given a regular hourly wage. they do make money though.

who does the work? americans will do the work. wanna know why, because the illegals took the jobs away from us in the first place. they would do it for less and with no benifits. who do you think is going to get hired? hmmmm....

so if the illegals leave. guess what. we get our jobs back.

i worked at mcdonalds as a teenager for minimum wage and had no problem doing it.
