well i would say if u ran for 30 min twice a day as hard as u could go, and at the same time decreased the amount of fats u consume...as well as doing a little wight training...and lots of water. juice for breakfast...V8 for snacks....u would be burning about 600 almost 700 calories a day, just exercising alone. which would be about 1 to 2 lbs a day. idealy about 1 lbs a day. which is about 5 lbs a week. running for 30 min will burn 300 calories. but u have to run. lol and i mean run hard! and twice a day. realistically if u can run a 2 miles in 30 min then u are good. i can guarantee u 2 miles will be 300 calories or more depending on your body type. and if u do that twice a day. i swear u will lose about a pound or two everyday. i u cant run then u have to walk for about 6 miles a day. 3 twice a day if necessary. if u do the walking thing, then u should really hardly eat much but two good full meals, breakfast and dinner, i wouldnt eat lunch. maybe a fruit smoothie. but thats it. well i hope i help. goodluck.

A pound gained is about 3500 calories, as is a pound lost. You have to burn about that many calories. And keep in mind that if you're beginning exercise, your weight might go up at first because you are building muscle, which weighs more than fat. So don't get discouraged. You need to eat at LEAST 1200 calories a day to stay healthy while you're losing weight.

You'd have to burn 17 500 to lose 5 pounds a week. First off, 5 pounds a week is very unhealthy for you, instead, try 1-2 pounds a week. I know it doesn't seem like a lot, but in the long run it is.

You have to burn approximately 500 calories MORE than you intake to burn one pound. It is not just how many calories you burn. It is how many you burn above the calories you take in! You can definitely loose weight this way, but it is difficult. BUT... it is the most healthy and natural way to do it. You might not lose 5 pounds every week, but you will be healthier and will eventually get the weight off, and better yet... you will keep it off.

Well 3,500 calories is equal to one pound. However. That's 17,500 calories. In just one week? I think you should shoot for 2 - 3 pounds a week if you must. But in order to take in less calories and not stuff yourself -- You reaaaaaally have to exercise hard. Cardio loses more calories and more fat, weight strengthening helps tone and turn fat into muscles ---> Which in turn burns more calories.
Have fun.

17,500 calories = 5 pounds. That's VERY aggressive for a one-week period. You'd have to dramatically cut back on your eating, AND run, run, run your as$ off every day. Better to be realistic about it and try for 2 pounds a week. Note - water weight doesn't count.

It is unhealthy to lose more than 1-2 lbs a week without doctor help. Try to be careful. But at least you do not plan on using lipo or anything.
