The email you have recieved is not genuine and is not from Yahoo!

This is a scam, they are trying to obtain your personal details and an 'advance fee' that you will never recover.

The Yahoo! Security Centre has an excellent article on these 'Phishing Scams'. You can read this here:
http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/hughes/4338;...

It is also a good idea to read through the FBI's information on Internet Scams. The site is regularly update, so you may wish to bookmark it to check on in the future:

It is scam. Yahoo (insert any company name here, this answer works for all!) do not run an email lottery, if they did you could guarantee it would be advertised all over their home page. Check out these links and search answers to see how many people 'win' the exact same lottery every day

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/lottery_sca...
http://www.hoax-slayer.com/email-lottery-scams.html

Do not click on any links, the page you will be taken to will look authentic but is not
Do not send them a 'courier fee' or any other money
Do not hand over any bank details or passwords

Do report spam
Do delete

Remember there is no such thing as a free lunch. You cannot win a lottery if you haven ot bought a ticket. Anyone can set up an email account with Yahoo, they can use any combination of letters they choose. I could be 'thequeenmother@yahoo.com' or 'disneyfreeticketsgenuine@yahoo.com' That doesn't mean that I am either of these and is fine as long as I don't try to use the address to mislead people. Don't be fooled by legitimate looking email addresses which end the same way as any other free account, don't be fooled by fictitious titles such as 'Dr' or 'Executive Director of Winner Claims'.

I was getting about 7 - 8 of these a day along with info that I'd inherited money, was offered high paid jobs.

It's all total rubbish and most asked for my personal details. Just press the spam button, I get very few now!

It sounds very suspicious to me. Did you be conscious for this or basically randomly get carry of it? many times while something sounds to good to be genuine it is. in case you will circulate by way of with it i might by no capacity deliver them any money or own information on account it is how such a number of human beings run scams over the internet. attempt contacting Yahoo and see despite if it is valid or no longer. good success! i'm hoping you extremely did win something!

It's not at all strange or a joke--it's obviously a scam, a trick, a put-on, a potential ripoff.
