Even in some literatures of your Christian religion I find that Lord Jesus Christ also went to this Jagannatha temple and lived there for sometimes. Of course, how far it is true, that is to be judged by you, but I have read this information in a Christian book, Aquarian Gospel. So if we take this incidence that Lord Jesus Christ also went to Jagannatha temple, then from historical point of view it is two thousand years old. In that Aquarian Gospel it says that the Lord Jesus Christ lived in the Jagannath Temple and he got his spiritual inspiration from Lord Jagannath. He was thick and thin with the priests. One preacher was very friendly. And he was discussing philosophical subjects with them and He saw Rathayatra.
Without being His devotee, how could he live there and how the authorities could allow a nondevotee to live there? From that book it appears that Lord Jesus Christ lived in intimate relations with the priest order.

The Gospels tell us that after being found in the Temple in Jerusalem Jesus went back home with Mary and Joseph and was subject to them, so we can take from this that Jesus helped out his parents with every day normal things and spent his youth studying the scriptures and leading a hidden and holy life.
Jesus had nothing to say until the age of 30yrs and focused all His wisdom and teaching during His 3yr ministry.
There is enough content in the Gospels to keep us going for eternity and if God had thought it otherwise then we would have enough written material on the life of Jesus to fill every library in the world, but this was not necessary apparently.

It's not important to our salvation to know where he was and what he was doing. His ministry started with his baptism by John the Baptist.
It's important to know that he was born and the signs that were fulfilled prove so. The gospels mainly deal with this life as the Messiah. The Gospels were written after the crucifixion. So by the time the resurrection happened....the gospels message was about the Christ...the good news! Go tell it on the mountain!
Why would the waste time reporting that Jesus went to school, that he worked with Joseph as a carpenter?
The gospels were written years after Christ. They were written to let us know of salvation through Christ because of his death and resurrection. They weren't written as a biography of Jesus.

What isn't in the bible as other have said, need not be. The bible is God's businesss.
However, his history is known. Jesus spent his youth working and learning with Joseph. They worked in Joseph's carpentry business as is in the bible, but, Joseph began a busines the took him and Jesus to foreign countries where Jesus studied while his father, Joesph earned the families living trading.
When his father passed on Jesus resumed God's work that he was sent for.

Well, if I wanted to convicne the world that I was Christ the son of God, it would probably be best to never let anyone find out what happened in my life bwteen the ages of 12 and 30. Heh, it'd make a great political campaign too. Imagine if W Bush or Clinton could have erased records of their lives from these ages?

The Gospel of Thomas, which was cut from the final edition of the Bible, talks in length about Jesus during these years. Pick up a copy and look it over.

Some of the Gnostic Gospels contain tales of Jesus' childhood. The stories are pretty weird (he killed another child for knocking him down). They weren't included in the New Testament for obvious reasons.
I used to have some links that contained the stories. If I can find them I will edit my post and add them as sources.
Edit: Found one

I always wondered that to.
It wasn't part of his ministy...The bible shows Jesus teaching as a very young man. Wasn't he ministering?
It has nothing to teach...So Jesus wasn't doing wonderful teachable things his whole life?
I will be completly honest...I probably would have stayed in Christianity if it wasn't for the bible. Believe something divine isn't hard for me...believe the bible just never flew with me. Its just a book.

Its not fair to judge the BIble based on todays "biography" narrative standards. Jewish tradition didn't care about the parts of a life that had nothing to teach. So, since christ was not yet in ministry, there was nothing to report.

There are some extra-Biblical writings which contain stories of Jesus’ youth (the Gospel of Thomas, for example). But we have no way of knowing whether any of these stories are true and reliable. God chose not to tell us much about Jesus’ childhood – so we have to just trust Him that nothing occurred which we need to know about.
