Solomon prayed to God for wisdom instead of riches...
And God granted his prayer because of humility...
Solomon was the smartest man of that time....and it was God-given wisdom.
Solomon was also credited with having hundreds of wives....which did not please God too much but......he was forgiven I'm sure....it was the culture and the time.

And the ability to make wise decisions. Example: Dubya does not have the wisdom of solomon. He doesn't even have the wisdom of Barney the dinosaur.

Solomon was a king of Israel, well, he was smart, very very smart at that time and no one could smarter tham him
