A lot of persons call themselves Muslims, yet they don't cover their heads, nor fast, nor pray. And they respect homosexuals. I mean, it's silly. Why do you call yourself a muslim when you contradict what you confess?
Same goes for Christians. How can you be pro-choice, and pro homosexuality, when your religion clearly states that abortion and homosexuality are mortal sins.
I just don't get it. What's the reason of having a belief, which you don't believe in?!

Most of my friends would be considered Moderate Christians. Pro-choice doesn't mean pro-abortion... and not being mean towards homosexuals or those who do have abortions isn't outside of their belief (though some would have us think otherwise, they obviously don't really read their Bibles). I can't answer for the Muslims... but as far as Moderate Christians are concerned, it's all in the interpretation of the scriptures.

I personally detest both homosexuality and abortion (though I have no problem with the death penalty most of the time). However, the fact still remains that it is in society and we need to deal with it. I believe we can give gays civil union rights, but still keep gay marriage illegal to appeal to our religion. As for abortion, there are situations like incest and rape which will result in either the mother or child being in danger. We need abortion for situations like this I do believe. However, we need to start cutting off funds to all these women who have "welfare babies" just because they don't have the common sense to keep their legs closed at the club.
My view might be too moderate for most Christians, but thats just how I see it.

Homosexuality, no matter how society feels about it, is sin AND abomination before God. No amount of shouting and screaming "hate speech" is ever going to change or alter that fact. They can scream and cry all they want to, if you are gay, you are LOST. As for the telling them they're going to hell thing, I don't have to tell them what they already know. Just don't whine to me or us about it; take it up with the One who will be judging you, not me.

There are some Christians who are too moderate and make us look bad.....
True saving faith will produce true fruit that everyone can see
Jesus Himself said "You shall know them by their fruits"
I try my best to show good fruit at all times...and to please the Lord and not man

I believe most people are of their faith in name and identification only, and not really practitioners of it. Many Jewish people are this way. In name only.
