hey im on a kind of diet meaning like a non serious one at all but i am eating more healthy than i would normally do. I also havent eaten since the day before yesterday due to the flu (would never normally go this long without eating) but my tummy just can't handle food at the moment as im feeling so rough D=. I am slowly getting down to the size i want *size 8* as i am a now size 10 loads of people will say a size 10 is skinny but even thoe the jeans will be baggy around my tummy my FAT hips will go slightly over the top of my jeans because they are so flabby, How can i reduce the size of the fat around my hips, if it means reducing the size around my belly as well i dont mind but would prefer just reducing my hip size. any suggestions THANKS alot
when i pull the flab back i still have curves and there is no fat on my hips which is the look i want, then i let go and the dreaded flab returns and its horrible =[

Oh the dreaded love handles. It really bothers some of us; doesn't it? You could try exercising and a healthy diet. No skipping out on meals (unless your sick and cannot handle foods). If your naturally wide there in the first place no amount of diet/exercise will make you any smaller. That is genetics. Before you do jump in into regiment of losing the fat off your hips; start telling yourself your ok, that you are beautiful no matter what size you happen to be and if others don't like it, well tough for them, for you are who you are and that is what you are/and will be.

At the moment you say a size 10 is loose on the waist, but tight on the hips? Sounds like you are pear shaped and it doesn't seem like losing weight is going to solve this problem.

It doesn't matter what size you become, you will always have the same issue because of your body shape. You can't just spot reduce from your hips through weight loss, it will come off all over and you will keep the same body shape.

Maybe you would be better off staying as you are and look for jeans that suit your body shape. Try hipster jeans that don't sit on the waist, you might need a size 12 to fit your hips, but you will look and feel so much better.

Don't get too caught up with dress sizes, just worry about being healthy and finding clothes to flatter your shape.

Take care : )

Forget about spot reducing a certain body part. It doesn’t work. A body part is too big because that is part of your body where you tend to store excess body fat. Resistance exercising will not decrease fat in an area … it will only build the muscle that sits under the fat. It is totally impossible to change fat into muscle. They are two separate tissues.

If you want to make a body part smaller then you have to decrease the amount of body fat stored at that area. To decrease body fat you need to do two things. One: change your diet; eating a healthier diet so that the amount of calories you take in each day is less than the amount of calories you burn each day during activities. And two: increase the amount of calories you are burning each day by increasing your cardiovascular exercise. Also, doing weight training exercises will help you build some muscle mass, which will help increase your resting metabolic rate, so you will burn more calories on a daily basis.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Oh god,not again, fat is...fat,muscle is...muscle,if you exercise a muscle it can only get bigger/stronger,NOT burn off fat from that area.Look at tennis players, one arm gets more exercise than the other,is that ARM skinny?is the other fat?NO.
