Just try eating more veggies and fruit and cut back on bread, and goodies, like cookies and chips. If your that active you will lose the weight naturally without any major diets...just make sure your really exercising 30 minutes a day. Not stop and rest, stop and rest.. but heart pumping 30 minutes straight time.

there is no bubble.
sit ups build serious muscle and will make your belly look bigger - the wright way to breathe - breath out every time you go up - it makes you do the exercise the wright way
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Your coach is right, when you breathe out you are using different muscles, some muscles are desirable looking while some are not.
As for losing weight, unless ordered to by a doctor and 13 you don't need to lose weight. Most likely you'll do it naturally over the next few years. When I was 13/14 I was very chubby but over the next few years it just came off, it was like I got fat, but then grew into the fat, spreading it out.
If you're active and healthy then you don't need to lose weight at 13

Well personally i dont think that you have to be lightweight to be healthy, because muscle weighs more than fat so that could be the problem, you may have more muscle. This isn't a problem though so i wouldn't worry about it.
Plus your coach is right about the sit-ups, you should breathe out when you put the effort in (when you sit up).
You could always start on a healthy diet if you haven't already got one =]

Ok, Sit-ups will work the muscles in your abdomen. Nothing else. You do breathe out on your way up but I dont know why. As far as the run? Running is the best way to lose weight. Well, cardio work-outs altogether. Do Cardio. Jumping-jacks, running, ellipticle, stair master, even bikes. All that will help. As far as a diet, just dont eat like you've neever eaten before. Eat your food, be happy with it. Eat normally. But you have to keep a work-out schedual. Yeah, you're gonna work out cheerleading but you have to do extra. Just be carefull!

Ok, apparently what you are doing, is not what your body "needs".
I would concentrate on other parts of your body, like legs, arms.
Do different things, like light weights to "burn" the calories...(no, you "wont" bulk up like Arnold Schwartzenager, simply because you dont have the testosterone for it). You will "tone" and that burns more fat, and the biggest fat layer is on your belly, so, it "has" to go down eventually.
I would say watch your caloric intake, but, being only 13, I would be leery on that one, as you may go overboard, and try to starve yourself which isnt a good thing! YOU most of all, need a lot of calories, but, if your doing the wrong exercises, its just as inefficient as not doing them at all!
Watch those calories, and talk to your coach and see what level you should be at, regarding eating...
I wish you well...

no suger no salt no cake and no cookies, no sodas, pretty much you stop all that you will slowly and noticably start loosing weight, you being 13 need to go out and play more hang out with friends and just you walking and running around with friends after you stop eating and drinking the stuff I listed pretty soon you'll weigh around 105 110 which is a good size for a girl you age. so you only have to loose but around 30lbs.

dont try to lose any wieght now, bcoz ur still on the growing age, so u need every thing and all the vitamins, what so ever, so keep it that way, untill u get to 16 or 17, then u can get to work out or sth..
but if u want to look more healthy, change ur food, and play a sport or sth, i highly recommend swimming
