I respect others' right to follow their respective religions.
I accept the place under the sun for all religions (which is better than merely tolerating all religions. I don't have to respect others' religions; I may not believe in at least some of them or their dogmas.)
I can comfortably co-exist with people of all religions, but not with those who themselves hate others' or other's religions.
The moot point is, does everyone who wants others to respect/ tolerate their religion, reciprocate it? (I don't mean that the asker of this question doesn't do. This is just a general 'wish' statement.)

I tolerate other religions just because I feel I have an obligation to do so. I don't really respect Judaism though because of the situation in Palestine. I also don't tolerate the Shiite people in my own religion just because thanks to my husband I now know how Shia treat their women which is utterly barbaric. I do try to respect other religions even if I don't really understand them.

Of course.
I cannot stand it when people try to mock other religions, even if they're no where close to my own. Someone insulted Mormons, for instance, and I was so angry with them you would've thought I was Mormon myself. But no, I'm an atheist.
I don't really know why I think religious tolerance is so important--it might be the way I was raised (where my parents let me decide my own path, and taught me about all the different religions I was interested in). It might be that I have several friends of many beliefs. I just think it's very important to live and let live.

I have no religion. I tolerate others religions because I think its better for somebody to be addicted to Jesus than to alcohol - Jesus is a lot less destructive, and I see nothing wrong with granting these people some psychological comfort even if I don't believe it. Thus, in public, I usually say nothing about religion. I would not say that I respect them - I would say that I tolerate them unless they have aspects that are very bad - scientology is one of them - its a cult, no matter what the scientologists will tell you.

some human beings can't recognize and tolerate the perspectives of absolutely everyone who wouldn't have an same perspectives they do. Others unmarried out particular communities, typically because they misunderstand or stereotype human beings. My philosophy is to be tolerant of those who tolerate me. with regards to faith, the invoice of Rights is sparkling in this aspect. I do respect and tolerate all religions. But I do believe only my faith is the right one.
I can't accept the faith of there is more than one god, god has a son, and there is no god.
If a Christian says I do respect and accept all the religions, we tell him that what is the status of someone doesn't accept Jesus as son of God. He would say he will not be saved.
So, do you think it is fair to tell somebody I do accept you and respect you as you are and in your heart you believe he/she is not going to be saved.
Islam do respect BUT not accept all the religions and Islam doesn't force anybody to convert to Islam and this is stated in Qurran and proved in the Islamic history where Jews and Christians lived in peace for many centuries in Islamic lands under Shari'a Law.
Allah knows best.....

I practice paganism but I got to a Unitarian Church for this exact reason. It give my kids access to all religions and teaches them tolerance and respect. I think most religions are really neat with their own unique history and culture.

I try to tolerate to the best of my ability.
To me my religion is The Truth, thats why I choose it. I love for everyone else follow this truth. But unfortunately either by birth, or life experiences or what ever people are at various levels of understanding and mental set-up and they fail to see the truth of my religion, I tolerate that and never go out of my way to preach it .... only answer their questions if they are interested in my religion.
I do see the falsehood of many religious beliefs and hate the way people disbelieve in God, or associate partners with His Worship, and think of Him as what He is not ..... even though this pisses me off, yet I tolerate them and pray for their guidance.
