If the other person has eaten a half of it, and you only know this person for few days. And this person ask you to taste his sandwich and you are supposed to have a bite from the side he has eaten it. Would you do?

This is s serious question.

I guess it would depend on how comfortable with them. I understand we all have germs and they can spread no matter how well we do or do not know someone, but that does tend to be how we make decisions like this! If you don't want to take a bite of his sandwich then a simple "no thank you" will suffice.

A friend of mine was living in Europe for a while and was too broke to buy his own beer, so he would hang out at the bar and when he saw a person leave their half-empty glass he would drink it! Well, unfortunately he got Hepatitis-A this way! So you just never can tell. Sometimes it's just better to be safe than sorry!

I think I would if I liked the person and the sandwich. If the person grossed me out or seemed "dirty" then no.

It's much worse to kiss someone you barely know and I'm sure most of us have done that once upon a time ... or taken a sip from someone elses glass (after having asked or been asked of course)

eeeww! No, never. All I would do is gag. Under what circumstances would anybody ever have to taste a sandwich from the side someone else has already eaten? Gross!

I'd just say 'no, thanks', or I'd *break* off a piece from the other end. If he'd held it up, I'd still reach for it with my hands, and if he wouldn't let go of it then no, I wouldn't take a bite of it.
I'm not much of a germophobic, it probably wouldn't hurt, but it's just more proper to cut, tear or break a piece of food you want to share. Nothing rude or awkward about it to insist on that.

Well that depends if you have built a strong friend ship with them...if you dont know them, i would suggest not too..you shouldnt deal with situations that you aren't familiar of....taking a bite will do no harm unless the person carries communicable diseases.

No.I wouldn't even touch it.I'm not in the habit of eating anything half-eaten or even bit by another person even if it's my own family.

I'm a germ-a-phobe, I'd probably tell him that- and then ask him to cut a piece of the sandwich off, and then I'll try it- yeah, I have no shame

Sure, if I was hungry enough I'd just jam the whole thing in my mouth, chew it up and spit it out. You can taste something without swallowing it.
That would be funny!

Depends on the sandwich and whether it looks delicious.

Probably not.

I would just politely tell this person that I have to really be careful of what I eat, that I am watching my weight.
