The reason I say white girl is that is the ones I see the most like that. I do not see many Asian girls doing it. I see black girls with tattoos but not many piercings

Hmm.
No.

What I think IS a "pitiful site" is a 16 year old high school drop out with two kids in tow. Or a woman on welfare, still refusing to get a job. Or maybe a mother of three who allows herself and her children to be abused by a man.
THOSE, are "pitiful sites."

Tattoos and piercings don't tell you anything about a person, and if you judge someone based on that, then I pity you as well.
Also; don't be so racist, I know more black/asian/hispanic girls with tattoos and piercings than white girls, it depends on where you live, buddy.

Umm, I'm a white girl and I have 4 tattoos. All are placed where they can easily be covered up if necessary. I don't think there's anything "pitiful" about me. Not to toot my own horn, but the tattoos don't change who I am. I am a married mother of 2 beautiful girls; I have both a bachelor's and a master's degree, and I teach high school; I am very well educated and very involved in the community and in church. The fact that I have tattoos and piercings (only ears and bellybutton) do not make me a freak or make me any less of a responsible, productive citizen. (so to the person who said it shows that a girl is uneducated, think again!)

I would recommend that you rephrase things in a less derogatory way in the future. Also be very careful about placing stereotypes on entire groups of people - no matter how a group is comprised, each person within that group is an individual life and should be treated as such.

Well I think this question and all those that say we are pitiful are silly and need to reevaluate why they think so just because I am white and have piercings in more than my ears and several tattoos that are not covered up I am pitiful you are pitiful for thinking so.

I am proud of my ink and my piercing and when my daughter get to be 18 if she wants to be pierced or tattooed hell I might even pay for the first of each

Being inked is an expression of yourself and it doesn't matter what others think of you because of it

Tattoos and piercings say a lot about who someone is. People are always going to make some sort of judgement on your appearance. If that is the type of image you want to portray then that is your decision and it's fine. I don't generally date girls with tattoos/piercings but I would if it was the right girl.

OK, that is very horrible to say, just because you are white, black or any other race, doesn't mean you have certain things you can do like tattoos color is color I have 3 tattoos, my nose, eyebrow, lip, tongue and belly button are all pierced. Funny thing is I use to model for calendars before I had my son and got married. My husband seems to believe I am beautiful and crazy thing is so does his friends. I always get compliments. I think if you believe the color of someones skin makes a different in who they are then you are pitiful. Didn't your parents teach you it isn't what is on the outside that matters it is what is on the inside!

Doesn't really bother me, but I know my boyfriend doesn't like it.

Well, more specifically, he says nose peircings are white trash, along with any other facial piercings, and the lower back tattoo is a tramp stamp.

I myself have my tongue and hood pierced, and he even complains about my hood piercing, but I tell him I went through way too much pain to get that done and I am not taking it out.

But yea, I think black, white, or whatever, anyone with ridiculous tattoo's spotted everywhere tends to look pitiful.

Tom S- Your answer showed a lack of intelligence and judgement...and speaking as a pierced and tattooed (and VERY educated) woman, I would NEVER think of being with a man like you.

I think that getting piercings and tattoos shoudl be an individual and personal decision. While I do not like the look opf being covered with ink or metal, to each his own. The young ladies with art on their bodies are not doing it because they are desperate and pitiful. Did it ever occur to you that maybe they like the way that the mods make them look?

Not sure which site is pitiful, I think any location (site) with piercings look pitiful and it doesn't matter what color the girl is.

It depends on where they are located on their body. I have three tattoos; but, they cannot be seen unless I reveal them...so, only a few friends and family have seen them. As far as piercings, I think there is a healthy balance that can easily be broken.

All in all, though, it comes down to what the individual thinks. We all have different taste in what we find attractive. Some people like the look...others don't (as is shownd by the responses). Thank God we are all different and have different likes and dislikes. A lot of us would be very lonely if we didn't!

First of all, why is this a race issue?

Second of all, I think anyone, regardless of age, race, size, or gender, can look amazing with piercings and tattoos depending on how they present themselves.

If you are articulate and smart and nice, what's so pitiful about it? Pity the people who follow like lemmings and don't have the nerve to rock their own style. Pity the women who still don't know they're wearing mom-jeans. Pity the men who haven't found flat-front khakis and are still wearing pleated pants.

But don't pity women (white or otherwise) who are strong enough and brave enough to assert their personality via piercings and body art.
