I wouldn't assume anything but I'd say the chances are better that she's married if she has a kid. Look, everyone seems to be divorced at some point, a ring is a good clue , it means she's married or she wears one so guys leave her alone. I'd start a conversation and somehow bring up her guy.. at that point she will either say she has someone or not

yes, i would assume that. though if she's hot i might look for a ring. but i would be fairly unlikely to approach any woman with a kid cuz i would just assume that even if she doesn't have a ring, she probably has a very serious bf that she is probably living with (and who is probably the kid's father).
so, if you want to meet guys, i would suggest finding a babysitter for the child or going up to guys yourself and making clear early on that you're single. the former would probably be better, since the fact of a child alone will scare off a lot of guys, whether you're single or not.

I, being male, would assure that she's a mom with her daughter. As to her marital state, it wouldn't matter. There are zillions of single moms and married moms. I don't think it is an issue. I suspect you are a single mom worried that a prospect would be turned off seeing your daughter. Consider this. If it were so, that person isn't the man you would want for a husband / father. Don't sell yourself short and don't sell out cheaply. And PLEASE consider your daughter's well being.

Clues-- If she is slim and under 26, she is probably single/divorced, or watching someone else's daughter.
Never hurts to ask, by the way. Sometimes, being direct is the best approach.

If she is a woman that I’m attractive to, most likely I would take a look at her hand just to make sure that she doesn’t have a wedding ring before I approach her. Regardless if she has a kid or not.

The wedding ring is usually the give away. Then again its hard to tell, could be a sister, niece you get my drift.
Im guessing you'd just have to ask to know for sure.

there are both the options, the woman can be assumed as a mother as well as an accomplice. only the familiarity of features or the way they are behaving can judge the relationship

guys these days dont really care if your single or not, if you dont have a male with you, they will talk to you if interested, well, at least i will... thats the way things go down in WV,, lol,,, anyways, try flirting with a guy first before they try, and then they will assume that your single,,, hope this helps.

I would think she would more than likely be with someone. However, I always look for a wedding ring (obviously), even a wedding ring mark.

always look for the ring but even that isnt a definate now. you can usually tell by the way she acts and dresses if she is single
