Can I buy Zelnorm in Austrailia without a prescription? The FDA took it off the market here in the U.S. and because my doctor knows I need it so badly, he suggested I try getting it from another country. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was a test subject for Zelnorm I know what you mean it worked so well for me. Some of the other test subjects had heart attacks and/or strokes. They tested us before to make sure we had no pre-existing heart or blood pressure problems. they also looked for clotting problems. I understand why they took it off the market I hope they find something soon to replace it. If I get a call for a test I will let you know.

Zelnorm has been recalled here in Canada too. When the health ministry recalls a drug there always a good reason for it. In this case it has been linked to heart attacks and such.
I think that your doctor is not doing you any favours by suggesting you look for this drug in another country, to me it borderlines on being completely unethical.
There are other medications that can treat the same things that Zelnorm treated.
I would suggest finding another doctor and getting an alternative medication.
