it is unjust to lay punishment on an unborn for no fault of it's own....

Disagree (but in only one case).

For the most part, I believe each human being (or potential human being has the right to life. Most of the time, when someone has a baby and doesn't want it, it's an 'accident'... Which means they were having unprotected sex, weren't careful enough while having protected sex, or some other lame reason. In those cases, please put the child up for adoption. It obviously won't be the best life, but it's better than having an abortion or mistreating/deserting the child.

The ONE case I believe abortion should be utilized is forced sex/rape. If the woman had no say/was forced to agree to have sex, she has the right to either keep or abort the child. I dislike the idea of aborting a baby at any time or any point, but if the child continues to grow, develop, and be raised by the mother that was raped, it's a constant reminder of the mental torture she went through.

unless there is some kind of special circumstance abortions are not justified. now days abortions are being used as a form of birth control. no one wants to take responsibilty for their actions any more. if someone doesnt want to get pregnant than for god's sake buy a condom or get on the pill it is not that difficult!!!!!!!! i am a christian and i think the only time anyone should be able to have an abortion is rape or baby or mother's life in danger. otherwise it is WRONG!!!! and to lokasenn maybe you should read the ten commandments

I very much disagree. I can think of at least two situations( when the mother's life is in danger and when the woman has been raped) I had hoped even you Christians would agreed with me on...but it seems most of you didn't, I lost some faith in humanity, at least the religious part of humanity.

And if you want to get technical, your own holy book doesn't condemn abortion, in fact your god okay's it. (Numbers 5:27-28)

Refer to Christianity

Very simple. One of the Ten Commandments is: Exodus 20:13

"Thou shalt do NO MURDER" correctly translated.

I could never justify an abortion for myself. That's why I would never have one. However, I can't make that decision for another woman. It's her body, not mine. It's her decision, and I can't take responsibility for her life.

no i dont agree, if a girl doesnt want or cannot support a baby why should she be forced to bring another unwanted child into the world... there are enough orphans and children in temporary ccare as there is. i cant refer to christianity because i have never read the bible but i obviously hold a different view to them.

Sorry, but I'll have to respectfully disagree. My family, my friends, and my pastor stood by me and my husband in making that VERY difficult decision. There can be extenuating circumstances that would cause a person to choose an abortion. And, as long as they are right with it in their hearts and with God, we have no place to judge them. They don't have to justify themselves to anyone but their maker.

I agree, abortion is never justified. There is no reason whatsoever to have an abortion! If I was pregnant and my dr. told me to have an abortion or risk dying, I would still go through with the pregnancy. Same thing if the child would have severe medical problems.
