Colitis is an inflammation of the lower bowl. It's usually associated with the polyps in the lower bowl that become inflamed due to irritation. They become swollen and weep, for a better word. Sometimes your lower end leeks and your wet all the time or, weep. It's irritating. It causes lot of gas, your sore, sometimes preparation H helps but, you'll need a doctor help.

I would like to add: Gravies, peppers, Strong spices and other spices that you sometimes eat that you have a reaction to should be avoided. Sometimes the simplest things should be avoided.

The term colitis is the medical term for inflammation of the colon. Colitis can be caused by a few things. Some causes are due to certain meds causes the inflammation to other medical conditions.

Colitis is an inflammation of the colon, if you were just diagnosed then your doctor will probably check you for Crohns disease. It is not something you catch, it is generally hereditary. You should stay away from foods like bacon and sausage. Symptoms include abdominal pain and occasional diarrhea. I hope this has helped. Feel Better :)

It's when your colon gets inflamed!

Symptoms include, fever, colon swelling (duh), your colon changing a reddish color, rectal bleeding, and ulcerations.

Increased risk of getting it if you're not eating properly.
