My mate at work thinks its golf because.
1. You have to hit a small ball 6oo yards through grass, trees, sand, water and get it in a hole slightly bigger than the ball
2. different weather conditions
3. You face a completely different way to the direction you want to hit the ball.
I think he made a good shout.... any other ideas?

The only two courses that would be harder to play would be the Masters In SC, and Virgina, Washington DC would be the hardest golf course same as New York. Villa Golf Course In Florida where Phill won the Player's Championship is the most difficult because it's surrounded by water hazards.

Im with "gary" on this one..LIFE..
Its takes you a whole lifetime to play it. (and even when you get to the end...you havent Won...youve lost).
The rules keep changing.(every day)
The method of scoring hasnt even been decided yet. (hard to tell what the score is..)
There are approx 6 billion people on the other team.
Some people tragically and sadly dont even get to play the first quarter.
There are a billion times more ways to play it than moves in chess.

golf's not that difficult to become a competent player. its snooker in my opinion - the pros make it look so god damm easy, but in reality its extremely difficult. even if you do pull off a great shot its near impossible to maintain that level of consistency.
