I'm gonna assume this question is from someone that watches films..where the location of the film is printed at the bottom...so you have an "idea" where "Paris-France" and "London-England" is.
What conflict?
I don't think the United Nations currently have plans to send peacekeeping troops in order to separate the Iraqi and Israeli forces (in Syria or Lebanon perhaps).
You may have mixed national and religious identity.
Israeli->predominantly and fairly well known for being Jewish
Iraqi->predominately and fairly well known for being Arab
The previous answer shows the trend in todays media...its the Muslims of course...Well they have been known as Arabs for several thousands of years

The conflict between Israel and Iraq stems from the annexation of Palestine by Jews to form the state of Israel in the decade after world war 2. This has caused a divide between Arabs and Jews that did not exist previously. In the case of Iraq, Sadam Hussein used the antipathy against Israel felt by other Arab countries to try and unite arab nations in support of Iraq during the Gulf war and to bolster his own position. Israel could not exist without the nation status accorded it by America and the subsequent ability to purchase arms as a nation state. American jews also provide enormous financial support to Israel and whatever the nature of the US government the Jewish lobby is so strong there that this situation is likely to continue regardless of UN resolutions denouncing Israeli actions and continuing barbarism. The conflict between Israel and Iraq is just the conflict between America and the Arab nations conducted from an aircraft carrier call Israel.

When I was in Iraq and Afghan I always heard the same story. The conflict is, a lot of Muslims believe the Jews don't belong in Isreal, that the Jews stole that land from them and they want it back. Which if the history is correct it is technically true that the Jews stole that land but they also fought dearly for that land. Now I am not saying I agree with either side I am just saying what I have been told. I know there is simply a lot of grudge between sides about past events.

Isreal has a conflict with all the countries in the middle east, it's the one of remaining occupying countries in the modern world as it occupies the palestinian lands since 1948 till now, it's increasing its nuclear power day by day regardless of any international treaties or laws, it's killing palestinians everyday without the interference of any international organization like the UN, cause it has the green light from the US government.

At the present time there is no conflict. Iraq is too busy.
Wait till we leave and they will jump on the anti-Semite bandwagon too. Only when the Arab world comes out of the 15th century and Islamists figure out that dictorial theocracies don't work will they turn around, but that's not going to happen.....

I'm going to sum up the problem using three very inflammatory words.
Muslims hate Jews.
Not *all* Muslims, but there's this long-standing hatred of Jews, Israel, and all Jew-related things.
