Is there any particular group that has a larger-than-statistically normal preponderance of B-negative individuals?

That's my problem, too. I would love for an anthropologist to see this question as I am looking for information about the blood type from a genealogical standpoint. Maybe I'll rephrase it and ask it in a different category. Thanks for your reply!

In general, type B blood is more prevalent in Asians. I believe I have seen the distribution map of B - too, but I cannot seem to find it so the below only categorizes A, B, and O.

Perhaps a few hundred years ago, but the populations are now becoming so mixed, it would be hard to find out.

However, no, it's never been mentioned in any research I've seen.

at one time type B blood was more common in people of african origin, but this is changing as people migrate over the globe.
