My son is turning one year old next month.
I need suggestions on possible party giveaways that our guests can keep as a remembrance of the occassion. I have limited budget and at the same time a limited amount of free time since I am a completely hands-on mom.

It all depends upon your theme. For my neice's 1st birthday party's theme was Cookie Monster and she gave away individually wrapped cookies. You can give away little rubber duckies, You can go to the dollar store and see if there is anything that inspires you. On ebay and other websites such as Hershey, people sell chocolate bar or other candy labels that you can slip over a chocolate bar or non-meltable item. It is very simple, not time consuming, and delicious!
I'm sure it will be a wonderful party!

Target dollar spot! I used to work their and mom's always hit it up buying gift bag goodies and all the little stuff their. It sells out fast so go int he morning. It's only a buck! If you catch it at the right time it gets marked down. %25 first 1-3 5days %50 4-5 %75 last 2 days. Look for this at the start and end of the month. Also around the change of a Holiday & Sport events! Ask for the Company Space Team Leader, this person is in charge of the area, You want to find out when they refill it.

No money? well, that throws out the engraved tea service idea...

No time? well, then I guess you aren't interested in cross-stitching your son's birth certificate on little pin cushions...

Seriously. Get a polaroid camera and a contraption called badge-a-minit. Take pictures of the adult guests holding baby. Take pictures of the children with big smiles on their faces. and turn them into 2 1/2" buttons (or refrigerator magnets)

Not a lot of money - great fun year after year.

This is a great task for your husband to take charge of. Just enough gadgetry to hold his interest - and he will have contributed to the fun!

with a limited budget, you'd do best to put your money in your pocket. Kids that age don't even REMEMBER the parties, let along need another toy for mom to carry home. if you want party favors, get something that the parents can enjoy, like pictures of their kids (poloroids can be taken at the party and carried home that day).

either little stuffed animals, or anything they can safely chew on also gifts for parents (like cute pics) are always appreciated at that age kids prefer the box to the present itself
