My uncle build a hut out of old tires and soda cans. He has been living in it for about 10 years now and it is wonderful!!! That's a wonderful way to put old tires to use!!!

How about a dome?? There are several books from the 70's that have ideas for building things out of recycled products. Steven Caney has a toy/play book that has a dome made out of pvc pipe, also directions for a hammock out of plastic can holders. Sunset has quite a few how-to books from the 70-80's as well. You should be able to find these books at your local thrift shop for cheap!

depends on your definition of 'hut'. Check out Earthships on the Net. There's an entire industry devoted to building very nice homes out of recycled tires, bottles, etc. The actor who played 'McCloud' lives in one.

Heap your refuse into a large mound and hollow it out. Be sure to remove all compostable material as its decomposition creates heat.
I built one at the end of my acreage and use it as an in-law suite.
