No. You cannot get a STD from a toilet seat. Most microorganisms and diseases cannot survive outside the body for more than a few seconds. By the time the prior user "finishes up", leaves, and you come in to sit down, all the "Bugs" are already dead.

Of course, it never hurts to line the seat with some toilet paper! That's what I do...only because I am skeeved by the thought of my behind touching a spot where a strangers behind was just a few seconds ago! LOL

Maybe, but the possiblity is really slim. Any STD tends to die away once it hits the air.

No. Its a myth.
STDs are spread by sexual contact.
The things that spread these diseases cannot
survive on a toilet seat.
I'm a med lab tech, I know these things.
