Hi..I have just been on line getting " paper doll " with clothes that you colour yourself. I just put in a search for free on line or patterns and came up with all sorts, thought it an idea for my little one to colour in themselves,so printed off a few on card paper and even coloured afew in myself to show what you can do..cut out bits if fabric for added fun...
I also go out and get ring and bracelets from the candy machines, cheap but the kids love them, you can also find other items ( I found little bears in a bigger egg and now use the eggs at Easter for Easter hunts)
K mart or Wilkinson's should have a number of items to collect for bags at a cheap price,I managed that one once. good luck.

This is a 2 person job. Take the shade off a lamp, insert a large wattage bulb and set it on a table some distance away. Get a pack of 16"x20" watercolor paper, any large white paper you can find that is of comparable, or slightly smaller size and some black paper.
Stand the child in profile in front of the cheap paper you have taped to your wall, Trace the shadow of their profile, including their neck and part of their shoulders.
Tack this to the black paper, and cut around it. Take this silhouette and spray glue the back and attach it to the heavier watercolor paper. You have created a personal silhouette for each child to take home to their mother. Make sure you have each child sign theirs.

Buy fun plastic cups and use a paint pen to put there names on them. They will be getting something they can use and you can use it to fill with candy and other treats and they wont spill. I saw some at dollar store just the other day.
Stickers are good too......go to the card/stationry isle and they sell packs with 4 sheets of stickers..............cut them up and you will have lots of stickers for a lot less than u can get them at a party store individually.
Take a picture of the kids as they arrive with the Birthday boy/girl and then glue them while kids are playing to those cheap foam frames you get at craft store.............they will have a picture of them and their "buddy" and the moms will love them.............. I used to do kids parties

if you are having a theme party you can go to a craft store and even if you arent having a theme party.there are little 25 cent animals that are big enough to not swallow.there are always crayons, bubbles, cut out wooden names you can paint for their rooms, pencils, which are great with the names of the children who will be attending the party, bicycle license plates
dollar stores are great for ideas too.walk through some.teddy bears for a dollar, photo frames you will find something there.guaranteed. and save tons of money.happy party hunting
