Having herpes makes a person susceptible to contracting others STDs, including HPV.

I have personally had genital herpes and HPV for 6+ years. I contracted them both at the same time from the same guy (who didn't tell me he had them).

And like Wickedeyezz said, it really doesn't matter how many partners she has had. I contracted both viruses from the 2nd guy I had ever had sex with. The first guy I was with for almost 4 years.

Herpes and HPV are two different things. HPV is Human Papilloma Virus. Yes they can cause warts but are in no way related to Herpes. HPV is very hard to detect unless a woman gets an abnormal pap test, usually that's how it's found. Just because you have herpes doesn't mean that you have HPV. And by the way it doesn't matter how many lovers that person had. She could've had 1 or 2 lovers who had 10-50 lovers of their own, and got infected. And if she has herpes and loves oral sex, then get prepared to catch it also.

It is said that over 80% of the sexually active population will contract HPV by the time they reach 50. These are staggering odds, and i would bet because of the number of sexual partners she's had she probably has got HPV. Theres no way for me to really know, but estimating that 80% of people will get it, that means that 40 of her partners are at risk according to the odds. Tell her to go to the GYNO and get a test, HPV while not deadly, can lead to several types of cervical cancers.
