he can get those little wooden spoons that used to come with ice cream cups? He plans on serving ice cream cups for dessert but they no longer come with the wooden spoons. Where can he get a bunch of them?

Have him talk to a local restaurant owner/manager. They can get anything. And since it's a school function, they might even comp them to him.

Otherwise, go to a medical supply store and get tongue depressors. It's fun!

Try a crafts store. I bought some similar to what you are talking about to back some flimsy Christmas ornaments I was making so they wouldn't fall over. Try a place like Michaels or Hobby Lobby or any crafts store in your area. If all else fails, they always sell popsicle sticks. Would make their ice cream last a loooong time. LOL
