Not looking to be doagnosed here, looking for answers from ppl who have had the experience.
Im 26, healthy (I think) and am not overweight (or pregnant) but Im always so out of breath. Even taking a shower causes me to be short of breath. Its not so terrible that Im gasping or anything but the breathing gets heavier and uncomfortable. Im also exhausted all the time (if that has any correlation) I tried doing my own research, all I got was lung cancer and asthma(neither are my problem). Cant hold my breath more than 15 seconds, tops. Anyone familiar with a problem like this? I know"see a doc" but I dont want to waste my money if its nothing.

hey there - I'm a 3rd year med student and I would really suggest you see a doctor. You can get short of breath from lung problems, but it can also happen from heart problems, and sometimes for other reasons as well. The reason heart problems can make you breathless is that a weak or malfunctioning heart doesn't pump the oxygen-rich blood to your tissues, so your body thinks you don't have enough oxygen and you feel like you are out of breath. If you feel like something is wrong, get your heart and lungs both checked out. Good luck!

It could be allergies, asthma, bronchitis COPD emphysema, more than likely it's an allergy/asthma, go to the doc and get a breath test, I was just diagnosed with bronchitis/asthma and have allergies as well

It may be allergies or yes, asthma. If it is asthma this can be dangerous not treated. I am leaning toward asthma since you say the shower exasperates it. You need to see a doctor.

I have COPD which is similar to asthma, Might be worth it to see a pulmanologist to see which one. You might waste less money from buying the wrong drugs.

Any drugs is this category are are all prescribed

i don't want to scare you, but check out the symptoms of congestive heart failure. The descriptions you give of how you feel, sounds like the same ones my wife experienced just two months ago. I hope I'm wrong, but, yeah, you need to get checked out, and please don't wait.
