I can beat your electric bill if you send it to me. After I get done beating it, I can use it to make some recycled paper. That way I will have more trees to hug.

Though I am not a tree hugger, the answer is no! I don't live with my parents or on a camp ground or anything like that. I just bought a house 2 months ago and my wife and I did find ways to cut our energy bill in half and think we can cut it down another 20-30 %. But we will never see it that low.

Nothing dumb about low electric bill! My bill averaged about $150 a month until I installed solar panels last year. Since then I have been getting credits from the utility during the spring - fall months and using up the credits during winter months. My electric bill last year was 0 (actually I got $19 check back) and I expect much of the same this year!

I can't beat your electric bill now. Mine runs about $35 a month for a 1 bedroom apartment with 2 people.
Depends on what state you live in, what company you go through, and what rates they give you.
4 years ago I lived in a different state and I owned a 3 bedroom home, my electric bill was dirt cheap compared to what I am paying now.

Well, if it's cool outside so you don't use the ac and you live alone, don't do laundry, take showers at your gym or boyfriend or girlfriend's house, don't cook, go out all night or work late all night I can definitely see how this is possible.
Maybe water heater and ac/heat is included where you live? Or maybe the bill was not for a complete month? That's all I can come up with as far as a logical explanation!

Well, it be hard for me to beat, even not using any electricity. My Electric Company charges around $19 just for being connected. Not sure what it called, but, it there on the bill. I can switch the circuit breaker off to the house and still be charged $19 just because, I guess. Ha!

Sure. Although that is impressive, try an electic bill of $0.00. However, I do use an alternative energy source, Solar and Wind. I run my school, clinic and home on these and the electric bill has been quite satisfactory.

WOW...$8.56! What I would give for such a bill! We are moving to San Antonio into a new home, built green..but I know we can't match that rate. Currently we live in Cinci and our bills are outrageous! What is your secret?

I can't but I can just about match it. My monthly electric bill is usually about the same not much more than $10 a month. I don't know why it's so low but I'm not complaining either.
