Morton's makes a "light" salt that also contains potassium. If your sister is on a diuretic as well as something to lower her blood pressure, she stands a risk of losing too much potassium. This helps supplement without the harmful effects of salt useage. I'm a fan of using herbs and things like mustard instead of over salting. Also, add salt at the end of the cooking process, not in the beginning. I also use the pepper blends that you can grind your self. Oh, and stay away from processed meats and foods if you can! There are all types of salt substitues that you can purchase in the grocery. Look in the spice area near the salt.

The main thing is to add enough seasonings that salt is not necessary.
