Just because you are diabetic doesn't mean that the headaches are related. I think it would be a good idea to see a doc because these symptoms look like they could be migraines, but it could also be something much more serious called a transient ischemic attack (TIA). TIA is a mini-stroke that causes exactly what you have described.
Most people who have TIA eventually have a full-blown stroke within a year or two. The next time you have one of these events, take 1/2 aspirin and go to the ER immediately - TIA is difficult to diagnose if you wait until the symptoms disappear before seeing the doc. In the mean time, make an appointment with the doc asap. He/she will probably put you on aspirin or some other drug to reduce clotting as a precaution.

I am type 1 of 23 years now. GO SEE A DOCTOR! You need to find a way to regulate your blood sugars a little better. I'm no saint, have my highs and lows too, but blurred vision could definitely be a sign of complication. I've never had the headaches or numbness, but blurred vision and the tiredness can be a result of high blood sugars. I'm not trying to be a jerk, or scare you, but something like that isn't normal.

Do you test your blood when you get these headaches? You need to see what your reading is .. if it is toooo high... then take some insulin or exercise... if it is low.... eat some protein.. if it is just right... it has nothing to do with your diabetis.... I have been a diabetic for 30+ years now and for the past 2 weeks I have been getting terrible headaches tooo..my blood sugars are 60-80 range so i don't know what it is either.. I see my Dr. thursday.... my co workers say it is cause the pollen level is so high now..... Check your levels and call your dr. Good Luck!

Call your doctor and tell the nurse everything you stated above. They can then ask the doctor what you should do...if you need to come in, change medications, etc. The symptoms you describe could be any number of things and your doctor knows you better than anyone on here, so if you don't want to make an appointment I would just call first and get some advice.

I have diabetes too, and know what you mean about hating to see the doctor every time something is different. BUT unexplained headaches are nothing to mess around with, especially with the symptoms you have going on with them. They could be due to elevated glucose levels, but they also sound like the could be Migraines or another type of head pain disorder. Please be safe and see your doctor?

I THINK YOU SHOULD GO TO THE DOCTOR CAUSE THE SINGS THAT YOU ARE GETTING CAN CAUSE LONG TERM DAMAGE TO YOU BY LOOSEN SIGHT AND MY BE SUM LEM'S. YOU NEED TO WORKING ON KEEPING UR SUGAR LEVEL DOWN THAT MIGHT HELP ON THE HEADACHE.

it's definitely because your diabetic..your body goes through an inbalance that can cause a minor to severe headache....
But definitely consult with your doctor...
and with your diabetic machine that test your sugar levels...
your doctor should have perscribed it..
