I contracted HPV six months ago, scary and depressed. It can not be disclosed to others. I need to have friends in the same boat to talk.

One day, I googled HPV dating and came across a site http://www.herpesmates.com. It is reported as a exclusive community for H people to meet, make friends and talk. So exciting and happy I realize I am not the lonely person to have h gift. There are so many people who contract H as well.

I register an account there and wink a guy who I am interested in. It is my lucky he responsd to me and want to know more about me. We are chatting, exchanging emails and talk the self H experience. Enjoy the time and it makes me feel better.
Smile?
Any ideas?

I'm glad you found a site where you can meet other people, but did you know you are talking about two completely different viruses? HPV and herpes are NOT the same thing.

HPV (Human Papillomavirus) can cause warts and cancer.

Genital herpes and oral herpes (cold sores) are part of the herpes simplex virus and cause large blister like sores.

I would hate for you to meet someone with herpes and possibly have sex with them because then you are taking the risk of contracting herpes. Then, not only would you have HPV but you would also have genital herpes. Just a little FYI.

Good luck and stay safe!

PS - Just because you have a STD like HPV or herpes doesn't mean you have to meet and be with someone else to has them. I have had genital herpes and HPV for over 6 years now. When I met my current fiance (boyfriend at the time) he didn't have either virus. He loves me and cares for me regardless of the STDs I have.
