Yep... which is part of why I finally decided to go veg. When you think about it, you realize that which animals are "okay" to eat TOTALLY varies by culture. Which means that the only reason it's "okay" for us (Americans) to eat a cow is basically because "society says so". It's okay for people in other countries to eat cats or dogs or dolphins because their society says so. That wasn't good enough for me. I decided I had to decide for MYSELF WHY I could eat a certain animal and not another. I couldn't find a good reason why, so I stopped eating animals, period.

Yes, all those things. In china, dog is the menu at restaurants. My father in law is a Potawatomi Indian who has eaten many snakes. Also, have heard of eating cats and horses too! I prefer chicken and fish myself.

It is said that the Chinese will eat anything if they live in China, but I eat beef, pork, rabbit, lamb, kangaroo, duck and turkey. I haven't even touched on sea foods.

So what exactly is your question?
There will always be animals to eat, if cows and chicken became extinct.

When I was in High school, I remember my classmate (a Chinese guy) having a snake sandwich. so I guess people in other culture eat different kinds of meats.

Just had some alligator pie and boiled crawfish in New Orleans last weekend. You can buy rabbit, squirrel and goat at some grocery stores. Bison, deer and elk meat are available from many sources. Then there's also mutton and lamb.

I think the question aludes to people only eating 2 or 3 animals.

It's obvious if you think about it: Chickens, cows and pigs have one thing in common: They are UUUUGLY!!!

I live next to cows.....and I mean uuugly.
people are very effected by the superficial. Even with each other, we are nicer to people we find attractive. Attractive people sail through life.

Regular people are found guilty without proof. Celebrities are let go with proof of guilt. Why do people want to "save paris(hilton)" We know she did something dangerous to others.

But..........
..........she's......."Hot".
