Genital warts usually appear as soft, moist, pink, or flesh-colored swellings, usually in the genital area. They can be raised or flat, single or multiple, small or large, and sometimes cauliflower shaped. They can appear on the vulva, in or around the vagina or anus, on the cervix, and on the penis, scrotum, groin, or thigh.

Most people with genital warts will notice them and seek medical attention. Sometimes warts are so small or they are inside the vagina so a person is unable to see them.

There are a few different ways genital warts can be treated. There is cream like Aldara and Condylox which can be applied at home with a prescription from your doctor. There is also medication that can be applied in the doctors office. This is done over several visits though. And, a person can also have the removed with surgery. They can be frozen or burned off.

They are caused by different viruses. Although technically you could get a wart on your genitals that would not necessarily be genital warts.

When herpes does present, it is often accompanied by the following symptoms:

Sores in particular areas that are normally fluid-filled blisters and can last up to 10 days. The exact areas and types of sores vary depending on the type of herpes, with oral herpes normally presenting near the lips and mouth, and genital herpes normally presenting on the genitalia. It should be noted that sores can actually present anywhere at all; it is just most often located in those areas.
Itching, burning and tingling sensations often precede the sores and may vary in intensity.
Flu-symptoms such as muscle aches, fever as well as swollen lymph nodes in certain areas are very common.
Problems urinating in certain cases or burning sensations while urinating in others.
Eye infections that result in pain, light sensitivity, and even fluid discharge. The infection can eventually even lead to scarring that will cause cloudy vision or even partial loss of vision.
If you find yourself facing a combination of these symptoms, then you probably have some type of herpes. Don’t panic though, if you actually do have herpes, you’re certainly in the right place to get some relief from the symptoms and eventually rid yourself of it completely!

some can be actual warts. i have hpv and my symptoms dont look like warts. mine are very tiny. clustered. smooth with my skin. but i found out i had hpv from a pap smear. every woman should get one once a year unless told otherwise. a pap will screen for it. depending on the size and place, there are many ways to treat the warts. if they are like mine, tiny and closer by moist, a cream will be perscribed. if they are big. the doctor will set up appts. in a row to have you come in a apply an acid on it to burn it off. if those treatments dont work, surgery will be next. not big time surgery. but they will cut it off or burn it off. but you can get rid of them. or if you trust your immune system, the could kill the warts themslef. even the virus. just because there is no cure a doctor can perscribe, your immune system maybe in most cases, kills the virus on its on (gone, cured) but doctors dont really know if its cured or just sleeping for awhile. but just incase...keep all your doc appts and boost that immune system. lots of vitiman c and dannactive immune booster.

they are just like warts that you get on your fingers but they are on the downstairs department. you will have to go to the std clinic where they may laser them off or freeze them. unfortunately it is something that can come back after the treatment. they are like little round balls of very hard skin. do not try and pull them off as they will bleed very badly. my poor sister suffered them when her dirty two timing pig of a husband passed them onto her,the poor woman was 9 months pregnant when she found out. if you suspect you may have them then seek medical advice from a professional straight away. good luck xx
