Because it's such an OPEN feeling. I only like being single when I've got boys in tow though. Just this last night I was begging my ex to take me back and he was like "were still on a break, you might break my heart again" and what do you know I am texting this other guy within hours arranging a date. It's funny I can go from 100% one guy to 30% some other guy that fast...The main reason I like being single is because it's FUN and EXCITING and you never know who will maybe be an item with you...

It has it's benefits in that you can choose what you want to do without considering anyone else, but that is probably just the selfish side of people coming out. You can also have different bedroom experiences, but that can feel a little empty and they are a lot more sparse than people make out so the benefit is erased compared to being able to share your bed with someone you love and have someone to care about you whom you want to tell all your news to. I think the benefits of being single are overhyped. It isn't as good as having a partner overall because single you are only really happy in short blasts whereas with someone you are contented most of the time
Just my experience thats all

For me its 50-50. I like being single because i can flirt with any guy i want and still not get noticed (guys dont find me attractive :() But i dont like being single because i get extremely lonely. Like there are only so many movies you can see with your friends until you realise youd like to be one of the movie goers thats pashing their boyfriend/girlfriend in the back of the cinema. Im a really lonely person. Id love to be loved for once.

I have been single up until recently since my middle school days. And I'm a freshman in college now. It used to bother me all the time like especially around valentines day and stuff like that. You'd see people holding hands and all that stuff that'd make you want that close relationship with someone. I eventually got over it because I realized the time your single is the time to work on YOU. So when you do get someone you have yourself together.

I loved being single! That's why I didn't give it up easily. Some people will say they will stay single because they don't want to have to answer to anybody or they want their freedom etc but I never understood why being in a relationship meant being with a parent!? I'm now with someone... and only because I knew I could trust him and because I knew I could still have my individuality and freedom to be who I've always been.

I love being single. Theres nobody to bug you and call you every second of the day, you don't get heart broken or have to dump someone, you can check out as many hot guys as you like! Its awesome, i love it. You can go on loads of meaningless dates and just have a really good time.

Love being single, no need to conform to anyone no commitments. If i wanted to i could sit at home and do nothing for weeks (except for work of course).
Then again my views on love have been shattered again and again, it almost seems like its really not all its hyped up to be. Its not a case of the broken hearts, its just a lack of trust for the mechanics of love.
Maybe one day, just not today

I have great mates if i want them to come round!
I have great mates at the other end of the telephone!

On line shopping
2 kids who would rather be with there mates and there mate invariabley stay here, always lots of noise!!!

Ime single and I love the freedom.
But I don't like one-night-stands, you get no respect off the man.

I don't like being single but my ex-girlfriend told me that she thought it would be a good idea for both of us to be single for a while. Then she started dating a new guy a month later.
...sigh....
