I live in a new flat, and in the living room I have Sky but can still get a half decent picture through the aerial. However, in the main bedroom theres absolutely nothing coming through the aerial socket - I can't get anything at all.

Is there anything I can do to fix the problem?

Thanks.

You need to trace the route of the cable from non-working outlet and ensure it connects to an aerial or a splitter somewhere, loft, masthead, behind working outlet?? If it's a new flat contact the builder or the installer.

Howie Fe... said " its probably broken, or a crappy t.v. i suggest getting a new one and investing in some digital cable, problem solved!"

But the man said he can get a half decent result in one room but not in another. That tells me something about the antenna installation.
It's not indicative of a receiver problem.

The most important part of any radio installation (t.v. comes in this category) is its antenna system.

As other correspondents have suggested, the problem is most likely to be in the cable/s from the antenna to the outlet boxes.

I would suspect that the coax wall socket is not connected properly especially when you say that you have a new flat ! They often get the electricians to wire TV antenna sockets, electricians are notorious for fouling the job up as most don`t have a clue when dealing with TV .

Try looking if all the connections are actually connected.

If they are, try and buy a new cheap TV that supports digital - it will be a worthwhile investment in the long run.
