For the same reason you don't have finger prints on your elbows. God made us this way.

In modern mammals, hair serves to insulate, to conceal, to signal, to protect, and to sense the immediate surroundings.
The palms of hands do not need hair. As a matter of fact, hair on the palms would interfere with the sense of touch, and a good sense of touch is required for hands to perform as they were intended.

Actually, I think it depends on how much you masterb..... Scratch that, I think it has to do with evolution if you believe in that or you believe it can co-exists with belief of the entity upstairs. Hair keeps body parts warm which is why when you get a chill, you get goose bumps, the hair stands up and forms a small layer of warmth. If we had hair on our hands it would be about as useful having a tail...which we ditched a long time ago as well.

I really don't know the answer to this ... but .... seeing that you are on the question of hair growing on the body ..... here's a thought for you ...

Ok hair does not grow on the palms of the hand or the soles of the feet.

Hair only grows longer on the head and a mans beard.

Hair (even when cut, plucked or shaven) will grow back the same length as before you got rid of it. eg; underarms, eye brows, legs, bikini line etc etc etc. Hair on a mans chest will only grow so long as well.

Good luck with your answers on this one.

Because the skin on your palms (and feet) is thick sick which contains no hair follicles. Most of the skin on your body is thin skin. One reason it has no hair is we use those surfaces to grip, hair would get in the way and pull out.

If hair grows there, you will not be able to eat. It is like that in all monkeys and apes who walk on two legs. All animals have no hair in their feet. It is not required.Hair is a protection item and does not impede the other working functions of the human beings or animals. It protects the animal/man from cold and hot and also in any fall, if one happens.
