Right in between playing these files Media player says that the file is corrupt and stops playing them. It misses 30-40 secs of video in between and I have to drag it forward to see the rest of the movie. I tried downloading the files again and the same error pops up in the same place again.

try VLC media player...it can play most files that windows media finds 'corrupted' or plays without sound or out of sync. just search for VLC media player and download it. it was the best download I've ever made.

Thats because either th eplugin is not supported or your video files are corrupt.

Get the kmedia codec package and try running it again.

Wherever you're downloading them from, obviously has a broken/corrupt file.

Try to download them elsewhere, or even use a diferent media player.

Do you have an Antivirus application working? it could have notified you of the trojan. seek for the record & delete it, asap. i'm in contact with regard to the secure practices your working, if any. you may flow to Microsoft, get carry of their Defender software (unfastened) run it to work out what different "deadly" application could be working.
