I was wanting to know if I could download a windows xp media center edition for free, if it is even possible?

Right now I am running a windows xp home edition on my Dell inspiron 600m notebook!

To the best of my knowledge, no you cannot download any windows operating system. media center is a whole new OS and not some add-on that you can download. you can buy media center (its buggy and a pain, but great for watching tv on your computer and thats the only upside to it.) and install it but not download.

You're not going to find a media center copy that doesn't need a key that you don't have and microsoft will not issue you one when you install it. Just buy it from newegg.com or such

it is possible if you download it illegally using http://www.torrentspy.com and a bittorrent downloader called bitlord from http://www.bitlord.com .... i would imagine that it has the crack and whatever you need to use it.

nothing in microsoft is ever free >=[
windows vista suck!
