I get offended when someone calls me hot, but I love when someone says I'm beautiful...do you distinguish between these as well?

Beautiful = wholesome and the all around package. Sun dress kind of girl. A girl I'd take home mom.
Gorgeous = something I would say if I was gay.
hot = sexy. This is the girl I'd show off to my friends. Short skirt, legs to kill for, pretty face.
pretty = Her face is good but she's not quite there in other departments.
cute = Has that natural young look. Good face. Could or could not have it going on everywhere else. The key is the youngness look.

Oh yes. I know very well the different degrees of attractiveness, at least by my boyfriend's standards, and I have them for him as well.
What my guy, and his friends, think:
Hot means you're purely sexually attractive, same with sexy.
Cute means you're attractive, but they probably know a friend of yours that is more attractive.
Pretty means better than average, but not intimidating.
Gorgeous means way better than average and definitely intimidating. Think trophy girlfriend.
Beautiful means the kind of girl that makes them melt. Hot and pretty at the same time, plus a great personality.
What I think for guys:
Hot/Sexy are sexual attraction.
Cute is boy-next-door type.
Pretty/Handsome is when they're all dressed up; somewhere between sexual attraction and mental attraction.
Gorgeous is the kind of guy that you drool over but never approach.
Beautiful is the kind of guy that makes you melt; the kind you want to stay with.
It's weird because my boyfriend and I have been together for a long time now and we understand what we mean by these phrases. Like my boyfriend will call me hot while I get dressed or pretty when we're out to dinner, but he'll call me beautiful when we wake up in the morning.

Beautiful, gorgeous, and pretty are all compliments to me. Whoever is saying them is serious and is trying to compliment you. Cute can be taken as you're little kid cute, or you're good-looking. And I think hot is kind of offensive. I hate boys calling me hot, especially since it's more to make fun of you.

its all in the interpretation of how it was said and how you obviously take it. To be hot I think is better than being beautiful. People should be able to find beauty in everyone no matter how grotesque they may be. To be hot on the other hand I take as looking wonderful all over, every crevice is perfect.

I think it all depends on the person & how they see it.
To me cute means your ok but nothing great to look at.
Pretty means they will look at you a lot but not drool over you.
Hot means a guy will drool over you
Gorgeous to me is more of a term when a person is dressed up or something
Beautiful is the ultimate term meaning that you are past all things listed above.
But like I said my opinion.

Yes. Cute means they're only talking about their face. Hot is their body. Pretty is hah which means nothing special. When someone says you're beautiful, they're trying too hard already.

Well I think:
beautiful = you have a very nice body with great features
gorgeous = you are drop dead pretty, no one is prettier
hot = guys way of saying you are slutty, or sexy
pretty = you are good looking
cute = you are like the girl next door, you have fun and playful features

Cliches are cliches because they're true. " It's all in the eye of the beholder." To one guy you're cute, and to another guy you're beautiful. It's all good. Technically, we women know the difference, but those male morons don't. Gotta love 'em though, right?!

well, first off, im a guy,there are definetly differences.Im givin you my honest opinion so dont get offended. When i call a girl beautiful, im usually talking about her personality. When im saying she's hot, im saying i wanna get with her.

Cute is nice and bubbly.
Pretty usually means the person has a nice face, but is lacking in other areas.
Hot means bomming, baby, in all departments w/ cool attitude.
Gorgeous is almost angelic, almost unproachable.
Beautiful usually is the same as cute or pretty.
