What are you talking about? Deiffernce in WHAT programs? Are you talking about Windows Millenium Edition? If you are, it is a very old, VERY unstable system, and only a maniac would install it.

Cheers

Windows ME is a bad child who ended up between windows 98se and 2000pro. 98 and 2000pro are great, stable systems, yet millennium is garbage that is unreliable and more prone to viruses than anything I have ever seen. Why not go with windows XP pro. hold off on vista until they release a service pack (it is kinda buggy). You can easily find copies of 2000pro that is an operating system still trusted by many even after 8 years. It built on NT technology so it business focused, yet can handle a lot. but your best bet would be to BURN any windows ME materials you find (disks, manuals, advertisements) and use good ol' XP or 2000pro

win me is or was a transitional os
to get people upgraded to a NT operating system

so win me wasn't released fully developed on purpose.

and support was dropped on other 9x os

so the only choice left was to upgrade upwards

to the next os which was windows 2000 and winxp

Do you mean Windows Millenium Edition (WindowsME)? Stay away from that! It was garbage!
