How much evidence do you need before you realize the bible is fiction?

I could understand if there were just a few things in the bible that were later proven wrong by science. But there are hundreds of just plain fantastic and/or wrong events reported in the bible. Man made out of mud? Woman made from a rib? Everything created in 6 days? World-wide flood? Every species crammed into one boat? Sun revolves around the earth? Evolution, biology, and astronomy disprove all of these stories. There are hundreds if not thousands more examples where the bible is simply wrong.

The evidence keeps piling up, the bible is pure fiction. How much more evidence do you require before you realize this?

Here's a few more: Snake talks, seas part, man walks on water, man rises from the dead, burning bush talks, woman turns into pillar of salt.... come on!

Because it's easier for me 2 "believe" (have faith) in the bible, instead of the theory of "the big bang" & that my gr-8, gr-8, super gr-8 ancestors were monkeys...come on! That's probably not the answer U were looking 4, but GOD really isn't as complicated as man has made him out 2 B. U don't have 2 believe it if U don't want 2..but what have U got 2 loose? And what if it is true??? U are wondering, it's on your mind or U wouldn't have written about it. What have U got 2 loose?

1) The same chemicals in earth are in us.
2) Ever hear the word Cloning? May be one who is God has a much more advanced system than puny man has so far .50 years ago we didn't know the word cloning.
3)Peter says "A day with the Lord is a thousand years and a thousand years but a day.It could have been 6 days or 6 millenia or more.God lives outside time and space.I believe the earth was reformed in 6 days,and Adam was to replenish the earth (what was used that had to be replenished?)
4) When I lived in a town called Chino 60 miles from the ocean,they dug up whale bones when making a new school.Take the cubit to the 24 inch royal standard and you have a hell of a barge.Make all the animals babies,and not all species evolved to present state and no problem.Even a few dinos fit in.
5)The Bible states"God sits above thecircle of the earth....He created the earth and hung it on nothing". At that time the Greeks thought Atlas held it up and the Indians thought it was a bunch of elephants.Who's stupid now?
There are evolution within the species but never from one to another.There are NO transitional fossils even though man has sought for those "Missing Links" for years.
I believe in miracles so those things could happen in my world.In John 8:58 Jesus claimed to be the voice of the burning bush.
Herod's tomb was just found .Plus there's a million other pieces of evidence if you look for them .

We have writings from Plato, Julius Caesar, and so on. We even have writings from others who knew Plato, Julius Caesar, and so on. Ancient writings most likely do exist so that you cannot fake that writing does not final that lengthy. Besides, we by some means have the letters from Paul, and the ones are just a few many years older than the time while the Jesus studies supposedly took situation. So correct off the bat, I can see that you're ignoring inconvenient information. Acceptable proof might incorporate more than one, first-hand, modern assets that trust each and every different are regarded to be proof. However, nameless assets which might be 'attributed' to humans and have been written many years after the parties happened aren't regarded proof. Accounts that do not trust each and every different, just like the 4 gospels, don't depend as proof. I'm joyful you detect that the bible as it's does not depend as proof. As for whether or not or no longer I might think the proof, I am obliged to think proof. That's why it's known as 'proof'. It could be very handy so that you can declare that humans might forget about the proof while you have no. As for you believing in proof, do you know there's most likely no proof that hundreds of thousands of Jews have been held as slaves in Egypt for 1000s of years? Why do you think the Egyptians, who wrote the whole thing down, on no account recounted the parties of the Moses studies?

It is sad really. Because the true story behind the Bible is infinitely more important than some blind faith in it being the perfect word of God.

Behind the story is a battle between good and evil, between wisdom and ignorance that is unended for over 8000 years.

Trust me friend, you will know the truth one day. All will be revealed in time. You cannot expect the natural to explain the supernatural or the divine to be governed by the same laws of physics as the undivine. Who do you think created those laws in the first place?

As far as evidence is concerned, I see evidence everyday through God's Holy Spirit working in my life an in others.
I need no other argument, I need no other plea, it is enough that Jesus died, and that he died for me. For I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I've committed unto him against that day.

Of course I probably can't persuade you anyway so we're back to where we started aren't we? But the truth still remains: Jesus shed his blood on the cross for our sins so that we might have eternal life in heaven through him. All you have to do to accept this gift is believe in Jesus as your savior, confess that he is Lord, admit that you are a sinner and ask for his forgiveness. Praise God! I pray that one day you will be ready to hear the truth. Until then, God bless you friend.

One day you will know the truth, hopefully it won't be too late for you. Science continually proves it makes mistakes. Read Jack Hamm sometime. He's also a scientist.
God's real, the Bible is true and someday everyone will know the truth. Right now even Darwin knows the truth. And evolution isn't it.

By the time I was ten years old, I realized that all that garbage in the bible was bunk. I guess that the brainwashing that my parents gave me by having me in a fvckin church every time the doors opened didn't sink in.......and, I'm MUCH better off for it!

The problem is that religion tells people that if they don't believe it (priests have admitted to me that there are mistakes in the Bible, a.k.a., Word of God), they lose their chance to live their lives again when they pass away. Religion has been doing this for thousands of years, they know all the tricks.

If it brings comfort to people who are in need or who are afraid of the changes in the world around them who are you to deny it to them?
If the Bible convinces 1 person that killing people is a bad idea isn't it worth it? Or is better for that person to die so you don't have to think about all the errors that you perceive in the bible.
