I would like to buy a hand gun, but I don't exactly know which to go with. Personally, I would like a Glock. Any advice on which is a good "starter Glock?" Any good websites to help point me in the right direction?

If you want to become a good pistol marksman, start with a .22 LR.

I can strongly recommend Ruger Single-Six, S&W M17, and M-617 and Taurus M-94 revolvers. I also recommend Ruger Mk II Target Automatic in .22 auto-pistols.

I don't recall ever encountering a really good shot who started with anything other than a .22 as a first gun.

I started with a Glock 19...big enough to fit the hand well, 9mm ammo isn't too spendy and recoil is light.

Also look at a Glock 23. If I had to do it again, I'd get the 23. Same as a 19 but in .40 caliber.

I like the Springfield Armory XD in 9mm. Its a nice size, easy to field strip and clean, and fun to shoot. Glock is also a good choice. 9mm is cheap, but 45 ACP is decent price.

A good first handgun would be a Ruger 22 single six , get good with that then move to larger calibers , They are safe accurate and the ammo is cheap so you can shoot it a lot.

22 caliber Automatic or revolver. You can't go wrong if you buy a Ruger...
