Never had a mother nor a mother figure. My mother was an alcoholic who never even tried to be there for her kids.Did I miss a mom?! YES.I still do.I think the most important thing for a child is his/her mother and if that relationship for whatever reason isn't there and there's no one who could or would be a mother figure for that child it'll get very hard.A mother is supposed to be the first one that loves her child, unconditionally. And if thats not there then that child is missing out on a very important foundation to built life upon.

I almost started crying the other night just thinking about what it would be like to not have my mother around. ...I was already a little bit emotionally messy, though, so I'm not sure how seriously that statement can be taken.

I'm also considering moving back to my hometown for the summer even though I hate it just because I miss my mom.

no i cant imagine this horrific event since me and my ma ma are so close that would be so devasting and heart breaking. But im sure it happens as madonna lost her mom at the age of 5. and she is one of the most successful people in the world and verbalized that if her mom was alive today that she may not be where she is. so just because someone dont have a ma ma dosent mean they are doomed for a failure in life as madonna ruled this out as untrue.

sometimes most of us dont have a a great mom. yes we came from somewhere but it is not always a good place.
i wander what my life would have been if i didnt have a mom. it might have been a lot better. i am a mother and I am doing everything just the opposite as my mother did for me.
I am very happy that you had a great mother!

Sometimes I can and sometimes I can't. Sometimes I feel like she isn't really my mother...we look completely different, have none of the same mannerisms, complete different personality, different views in life. In other words...we have nothing in common and don't really talk anyway...we don't get along at all.
Sometimes I think of losing her and it scares me, even though we don't get along at all. Living a life without my mum would be depressing...I would be empty.

No one could! Your mother is always there for you. The one who will always love you regardless. Mothers are god's gift to the world to make it a better place,An angel in disguise. Let her know how much you love and appreciate her..

If there aren't moms out there nobody would exist. And i would really doubt that single women would just like to have a baby everytime without wanting to raise it.

unfortunately for me, yeah I can. I don't want to sound like a pity man, but my mom left in the middle of a street, I had to move in with my grandparents and adapt to not having a mom, it was hard and it truly sucks

yes, my birth mom was never there and my step mom was too busy raising her children to notice me. it sucks. but i've learned to live with it. My birth mom is not in my life at all and i am not talking to my step mom right now, i am actually spending the day with my boyfriend. it hurts and it sucks, luckily my boyfriends parents love me as their own.
