Dreamweaver: Can't connect to ftp in CS3?

I've used Dreamweaver 8 in the past to edit my website, but now that I'm using a trial of CS3, I can't connect to my ftp. All of my settings imported from version 8 and I can connect to the site using other software. The exact error I get says "An FTP error occured - cannot make connection to host." I have tried all the recomended solutions regarding firewalls (my computers don't have one) and my router (also has no firewall), but no luck. Any suggestions?

Can you acces FTP through Windows Explorer? ie add a network location to this FTP for testing.
