Tea may or may not keep you awake for any length of time. It depends upon your sensitivity to caffeine and the type and amount of tea you are drinking. It also depends upon how tired you are and what you're trying to do. If you're trying to FALL ASLEEP after consuming caffeinated tea, that may be a very different amount of time than how long it would take if you're trying to STAY AWAKE by consuming that cup of tea. This is all related to your own personality, psychology, etc. For example, if you're getting ready for bed and accidentally consumed the caffeinated tea (versus the caffeine-free herbal tea you had planned to drink), your own worry about the drinking of the tea might have more effect on keeping you awake than any amount of caffeine in the tea.
With that said, I'd like to get an answer for you giving some underlying assumptions. We'll assume you are:
(1) trying to stay awake
(2) drinking standard (non-decaffeinated) black tea (which has more caffeine than green tea, or herbal tea -- which generally has none).
(3) steeping your tea for 5 minutes (very short steeping times will result in lower amounts of caffeine)
(4) have previously stayed awake by drinking coffee, and have experience with a relatively consistent amount of "Wake time" following drinking 1 cup of coffee
Since black tea steeped for 5 minutes has approximately 75 milligrams of caffeine, versus a cup of coffee which has approximately 150 milligrams (both these measurements are simplified estimates as they can vary tremendously based on type of tea/coffee, method of preparation, concentration/taste, etc.) it would take 2 cups of tea to give you the same caffeine "dose" as 1 cup of coffee.
Therefore, if you can typically stay awake for, say, 2 hours after drinking 1 cup of coffee, you would be able to stay awake for those same 2 hours by drinking 2 cups of tea. Drinking just a single cup of tea would not necessarily translate, however, into "half" that time (e.g. staying awake only 1 hour) because each individual has a different threshold of caffeine sensitivity. So that single cup of tea may or may not reach the level that would have noticeable impact on your wakefulness.

it depends on how concentrated it is, whether it is warm or cold, how much you drink, and the type of tea.
This information would be really useful for someone who was just wondering but, since you are just "wandering" my answer doesnt matter.
