Jesus Himself said that He was God and Son of God, as the four Gospels clearly state. (Contrary to The Architect's treatise to the contrary, applying the theology only to Paul.)

He applied the name of God, "I AM," to Himself in several passages. Here's a few examples: Matthew 14:27, Mark 6:50, Mark 13:6, Luke 21:8, John 4:26, John 6:20, John 8:24, 28, 58, and John 13:19. (These examples are in the original Greek, not the English, as most English translations say "I am He," or "It is I.")

There are several denominations that deny Jesus' deity. These include the Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, United Church of Christ, Oneness Pentecostals, and Christadelphians. (This list is hardly complete.)

One would have to ask why they call themselves Christian, when they deny a fundamental belief in Jesus' divinity.

Jesus isn't merely God's son, he's God The Son. See John 8:fifty one, Revelation one million:17&18, and distinctive different scriptures. His father became positionally extra advantageous than him on a similar time as he served out his purpose in the international, i think of Collosians and Hebrews make that incredibly sparkling. he's God interior the flesh nevertheless. If he isn't then the hot Covenant does not make any experience becasue it quite is Christ's twin natures as a hundred% God and a hundred% guy that make him waiting to maintain the covenant between God and guy completely, on a similar time as ratifying it in his harmless blood.

,Jesus is the Son of God and He is also God. Your Catholic Priest is correct. Did he not mention "The Trinity" to you, of 3 God in One.
God the Son, God the Father and God the Holy Spirit.
A mystery, which we might only understand one day in Heaven.. but if we have Faith it is one of the mysteries we except, even thought we cannot understand. Just believe and have Faith.
St Patrick converted the Irish with this very teaching. He taught an unbelieving people that yes it was possible for 3 God's to co-exist in one.. He took a 3-leaf clover and said.. see there are 3 leaves in one clover.. It is one clover with 3 leaves so it is with God, 3 God in one..... and the People understood and were eventually converted to the Catholic faith.

All Christians, except maybe some far out sects, believe that Jesus is the son of God and God incarnate. It is part of the creed of the church.

"true God, from true God, begotten not made, of one substance with the Father... etc."
look at the third paragraph in this link it is a statement of the entire Christian church. Most of us say it every Sunday.

PS. I read your last note with the link to another question. There are a lot of teens and young people here that have not studied that much about their religion. They are new at it perhaps. So you will get a lot of wrong answers from some.

False teaching is why people are confused. Jesus is clear about who he is and that is the son of the only TRUE GOD. Jesus says to worship GOD and only GOD. But it seems that many churches worship Jesus which in turn puts GOD and Jesus against one another. We have to remember GOD is a punisher of sins and Jesus is a forgiver of sins so which one is easier to worship. John 17 verse 3 This is eternal life:that they may know You, the only true GOD, and the One You have sent-Jesus Christ. verse 18 just as You sent Me into the world, end of verse 24, You loved Me BEFORE the worlds foundation. These three verses alone show that GOD is the Father and Jesus is His son. And that we to should worship GOD as Jesus did.

It is called the trinity! The Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost! There are all 3 combined, think of it as a clover, three leaves, but it is one plant! Jesus sits at the right hand of God the father. I hope this helps you it did me years ago!

Not at all. In fact, the phrase "Son of God" means that Jesus is God. I didn't realize this was a confusing issue; I thought all Christians understood this.

YHWH (God) is the Father and creator of the universe. This is something beyond any man to do. But it is not beyond YHWH to become a man. Yet to do so and call himself YHWH would be a contradiction, so he calls himself the son of YHWH. If you read your scriptures, you will see that when He calls himself the son of YHWH, they all want to stone him to death, and He challenges them as to why, for what miracle do they stone him. They reply that it is not because of any miracles, but because He dares to call himself YHWH (God).
So to us it may have been ambiguous, but to the Yahudim (Jews) it was not ambiguous at all, by calling himself the son, He was declairing himself to be the Father.
And by the way, YHWH (God the Father) is pronounced YaHuWaH. His sons name was not Jesus (which means hail Zeus in greek or 'the horse' in Hebrew), but Yahushua which means YHWH saves. Use the names, this is what we are told to do, and is the reason why all the saints where persecuted. Use the names.

It remains a problem for intelligent christians.

Jesus was trying to expose the lie of the Sadducees and Pharisees.

Because prior to Paul of Tarsus and Josephus ben Matthias (St Luke) creating the false religion of christianity to subvert the message of Jesus, the title "Son of God" was universally known as the official title of Pharoah.

See:
http://one-faith-of-god.org/old_testament/sources/son_of_god/son_of_god_0010.htm

The same title was used by the Augustianian Emperors because they controlled Egypt.
See:
http://one-faith-of-god.org/old_testament/apocrypha/son_of_god_2/son_of_god_2_0010.htm

But Paul of Tarsus had a problem when writing his false religion- how to deal with Jesus's obvious Pharaoh title?

Jesus himself had used it to provoke and ultimately destroy the credibility of the Sadducee High Priests in claiming the truth of the Bible. For the only way Jesus could be Pharaoh is that Moses was Akhenaten.

In fact the most sacred treasure of Qumran (Dead Sea Scrolls) is the missing proof of this truth. Written in greek from at least 100 BCE is the message "Akhenaten is also Zadok".

How can Jesus be an angel and the Almighty God too?
Come on everyone, God was always here and will be here for eternity to come....Jesus was made as the first son of God. The Archangel, Michael.
Jesus came to earth to fix the Adam problem....Jehovah cannot be in the presence of man ..he is too powerful.
