It depends on the type of your skin. If u have a dry skin, dont use a soap, instead use a liquid face wash which will keep your skin fresh. wash your face twice a day.
I hope I could help you out

You need a really good skin care product that will keep your face oil and shine free for up to 12 hours to prevent less breakouts. This skin care system ha been proven also to minimize your pores. The larger the pores are the more you produce oil from pores and the more you will have breakouts.Prevention is the key to clear skin. This is what I use so I get less breakouts. http://cgarcia1.qhealthbeauty.com/produc...
If you have bad pimples then you should be using an acne treatment. Acne treatment is formulated with the right kind of combination to kill the bacteria that is deep down in the pores while regular skin care products only cleanse the surface of face. http://cgarcia1.qhealthbeauty.com/produc...
Age and food doesn't cause you to have breakouts. Having bacteria in the pores due to poor cleansing is the main cause. When your pores are clogged with bacteria you need to get acne treatment. How long did you use the proactive? For some people who have lots of bacteria in the pores it may take a while for the formula to get all the dirt and bacteria out. Acne lives without oxygen when you use an acne treatment that's been formulated to treat acne deep down with oxygen it kills it. Acne dies when exposed to oxygen. You also have to be consistent you can't miss a day or two you need to be consistent and persistent with the cleaning and give it time for the acne treatment to work deep down. YOu should also be using a microdermabrasion system or an exfoliator that won't clog your pores. This takes away dead skin cells. Dead skin cells also cause you to breakout because of bacteria that got into the pores. This makes pores smaller which means the smaller the pores the less oil is produced when there are lots of oil produced this collects dirt and clogs your pores. So the tighter your skin is the less breakouts you will have. http://cgarcia1.qhealthbeauty.com/produc...

It is good to wash your face everyday with soap! =D Good job!

But do not use hot water or cold water, try to stick with warm water.

And make sure to wash gently or else you will irritate your skin, which may cause it to produce oils!

depending on your skin type, that is perfect
but if your skin begins to get oily
don't wash with the same soap everyday, you should switch off because it could make your skin produce even more oil if the soap makes it dry

I'd recommend washing twice a day, once in the morning and one in the evening since your face builds up oil throughout the night and throughout the day.
